How to judge the quality of EVA fishing floats?
The quality can be judged from the following aspects:
1. Density and Closed-Cell Structure Testing: High-quality
EVA fishing floats should have a density between 0.06 and 0.08 g/cm³, while high-density models should be controlled between 0.12 and 0.15 g/cm³. After being pressed by hand, the rebound rate should be above 72%, and there should be no permanent dent after pressing.
Observe the cross-section with a magnifying glass. High-quality products show a uniform and fine granular texture, without obvious large pores or layered gaps, high closed-cell integrity, and a water absorption rate of less than 0.5%.
2.Buoyancy Stability Verification: Weigh the dry weight using an electronic balance with an accuracy of 0.01g, and then measure the displaced volume using the displacement method. The buoyancy deviation should be controlled within ±0.02g.
After continuous immersion in still water for 72 hours, the buoyancy decay rate should be less than 3%, and there should be no continuous escape of air bubbles.
III. Workmanship and Durability Inspection: The float body is smooth, free of burrs and cracks. The connection between the float stem and the float tip is tightly glued together without loosening or wobbling.
After being dropped 10 times from a height of 30cm onto the water surface, the float body shows no deformation or leakage, and the float tip's axis deviation angle does not exceed 0.5°.
IV. Compliance Verification: The EVA fishing float conforms to the national standard GB/T 39765-2021. Its static stability meets the standard; under still water and windless conditions, the float tip stability time is greater than 8 seconds, the fluctuation amplitude is less than 0.15 marks, and the signal transmission delay is less than 0.12 seconds.
